Maximize Your FSAFEDS Benefits
Our goal is to help you fully understand the Federal Flexible Spending Account Program (FSAFEDS) so you can get the most value from this important benefit. Whether you're learning something new or refreshing your knowledge, we're here to help! Did You Know?
- Dependent Care FSA (DCFSA) Contribution Limits - The $7,500 maximum applies per household. If both parents live at the same address and contribute to a DCFSA, their combined total cannot exceed $7,500, even if they file separate tax returns.
- FSAFEDS Covers Dependents - Eligible expenses apply to you and any dependent claimed on your Federal tax return.
- Avoid Duplicate Reimbursements - Submit only expenses that have not been reimbursed through another source, such as insurance or a spouse's FSA, to ensure proper processing of your claims.
- Insurance Premiums Are Not Eligible - Premiums for insurance plans do not qualify for reimbursement under FSAFEDS.
