Heart Health Month and Your FSAFEDS Account
February is American Heart Month, and you are never too young or too old to take control of your heart health. What can you do to keep your heart healthy and happy?
- Blood pressure monitoring - High-tech blood pressure monitors make it easy to get fast and accurate readings, and many can integrate with your existing devices to deliver a more comprehensive picture or your heart health.
- Exercise regularly - Regular exercise strengthens the heart, lowers blood pressure, can help maintain a healthy weight and reduces stress. The American Heart Association recommends 30 minutes of aerobic exercise at least 5 times per week for overall cardiovascular health.
The Federal Flexible Spending Account Program (FSAFEDS) Health Care FSA (HCFSA) covers many of the items and services related to heart health. Visit the Support & FAQ Center and view the eligible expenses to see how you can save money on heart health.
