As a member of the uniformed services, when can I sign up for a DCFSA and/or an HCFSA?
Enrollment dates are as follows: Members of the uniformed services in the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, and U.S. Public Health Service are eligible for a DCFSA in Federal Benefits Open Season 2024 and Health Care Flexible Spending Accounts (HCFSA) in a Special Enrollment Period scheduled for March 3 - 31, 2025. Members of the U.S. Coast Guard and National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration Commissioned Officer Corps are eligible for a DCFSA and HCFSA for the first time during the Special Enrollment Period scheduled for March 3 - 31, 2025. Following the 2025 Special Enrollment period, members of the uniformed services will be able to sign up during the regular Federal Benefits Open Season, or Qualifying Life Event enrollment. HCFSA is new to members of the uniformed services and is being offered for the first time through a Special Enrollment Period scheduled for March 3 - 31, 2025. After the Special Enrollment Period, members of the uniformed services will be able to enroll during the annual Federal Benefits Open Season period or Qualifying Life Event (QLE) enrollment.
