Take Advantage of Your FSAFEDS Benefits by December 31, 2022

The 2022 benefit period is almost over. Now is a great time to take inventory of any eligible planned expenses in 2022. You may carry over unused funds up to $570 into the 2023 plan year, but you must re-enroll in a 2023 Health Care Flexible Spending Account (HCFSA) or Limited Expense Health Care FSA (LEX HCFSA) to be eligible for this benefit. If you do not plan on re-enrolling in an HCFSA or LEX HCFSA, be sure to incur any remaining expenses before December 31, 2022. If you are enrolled in a DCFSA, you may continue to incur new eligible expenses until March 15, 2023. Log in to your account at www.FSAFEDS.com and check your balance today.

You Have Options
Even if you are not able to spend your remaining balance before December 31, 2022, you have options to help minimize the risk of losing funds.

  • Health Care FSA and Limited Expense Health Care FSA ? up to $570 is available for carryover for the 2022 plan year, but you must re-enroll in a 2023 HCFSA or LEX HCFSA to be eligible for this benefit.
  • Dependent Care FSA ? you can incur expenses through March 15, 2023 and apply those amounts against your 2022 balance.

Submit Your Claims

  • All HCFSA and LEX HCFSA claims for expenses incurred in the 2022 benefit period must be submitted no later than April 30, 2023.
  • All DCFSA claims incurred from January 1, 2022 ? March 15, 2023 must be submitted no later than April 30, 2023.
