What is open season for enrollment?

Open season is the designated time period for enrollment each year and occurs in November and December (specific dates are announced by OPM prior to open season). Enrollment in a DCFSA through FSAFEDS is voluntary, and your participation will NOT automatically renew each year; you must actively choose to enroll and contribute each year. Your election during open season is effective for the benefit period that follows.
